As long as my tired eyes are not deceiving me I spotted that my “Classroom Google Earth” wikispace has been nominated in the Best Wiki 2006 in the Edublog awards!
How mad is that!
I feel honoured to be included and that someone even nominated the space – I hope that you can take a minute to vote, I have done so at least I have one!! 😉
(Updated the broken vote link thanks)
I will have to clear some room on my virtual mantlepiece! 🙂
How rude of me – these are the other nominees (who incidentally are far more worthy of the award)
Congratulations Tom!
I have voted too. I am so pleased for your nomination- its not often ordinary people who do extraordinary things get the recognition they deserve. Thanks for taking the time to put together such great resources, I know I have learned from your expertise, your interest in and skills with technology. Well done 🙂
P.S. My son has been asked to show his Year 6 classmates and their Geography teacher how to add Google Earth placemarks next week. I will ask his teacher’s permission to add their school to your wikispace.
Well, I have voted, since I have learned so much from your site already … but the URL I voted at was not the one your “vote” links to, because that surveymonkey was closed.
Instead, I found “click here to vote!” on this page that worked:
